The G note was added in the proofreading of FE, which is indicated by the diagonal quaver beam and reversed note head of this note. The change was certainly performed on Chopin's request. b. 229-231
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

In the main text, we suggest adding slurs on the basis of comparison with the recapitulation, although the figuration is arranged slightly different there. The range of the slur added in bar 229 is marked by the adjacent slurs in bars 228 and 229-230. There is a similar situation in bars 230-231 – the added slur begins as the figuration is taken over by the L.H. and it ends before the next bass note in bar 232. The slur in bar 229 was added already in GE3. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |
