The additional little slur at the transition between bars 412 and 413 was probably overlooked in GE – the wedges in these bars were also overlooked. In turn, EE included the little slur and repeated it in bars 413-414; the second time, the top slur was arbitrarily shortened. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE |

The one written in FED between the staves may refer to f1 in the L.H. or to the g1 minim in the R.H. As the digit is placed closer to the L.H., since it touches the head of the 1st semiquaver, we assign it to this note. However, both in FEH and EE, the fingering was given only or mainly for the R.H., which proves that this part was considered to be more problematic (with which one cannot argue). Therefore, the entry in FED may also apply to the R.H., i.e. indicating the position of the 1st finger on a black key. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Annotations in teaching copies , EE revisions , Annotations in FED , Differences in fingering , Annotations in FEH |

The missing first slur in FE (→GE1→GE2) must be an oversight, corrected in EE. The inaccurate slur of GE1 (→GE2) was replaced in GE3 with arbitrary indications, i.e. staccato dots and a slur, adopted in this edition in all similar places. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

The missing in GE is most probably an oversight, although it is possible that the hairpin was omitted due to lack of space or an alleged conflict with the mark between the staves. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |

In the main text, we suggest adding a slur over the passage in the R.H., as in bars 410-412. We lead the slur to the quaver at the beginning of bar 416 due to the reasons identified in the quoted note. category imprint: Editorial revisions |
