A phrase mark (slur) in A

A distorted slur in GE (→FE→EE)

The slur in A is written with a large stroke, but its extent is doubtless. The fact that the engraver of GE interpreted it as covering the whole bar, not a motif, is a glaring example of the manner adopted for manuscript reading in GE (see the characteristics of that edition).
