In FE the 1st note is an erroneous quaver, which was corrected both in GE and EE.

FE (→GE1GE2) are lacking in the accidental before the 5th semiquaver from the end, which results in g2. This patent mistake is evidenced by the  before the next note, which is g2. The mistake was corrected in EE and GE3. The same applies to b. 189.

No marking in FE

at end of bar in GE & EE

..

The missing  mark in FE must be considered an inaccuracy, since due to the harmonic change on the 3rd beat of the bar, one cannot repeat here the whole-bar pedalling from the two previous bars. Both GE and EE failed to notice this subtlety: in both cases a  mark was added at the end of the bar. In the main text we suggest releasing the pedal before the 3rd beat of the bar, as indicated by Chopin in analogous b. 42.

b. 51-52

composition: Op. 22, Polonaise

No slurs in FE

2 slurs in GE & EE

..

The missing slurs must be a mistake of FE, in which these bars are separated by the transition into a new line. When repeated a bar later, this motif is already provided with slurs, which proves the mistake, as a result of which corresponding additions were already introduced in GE and EE. See also the note above. A similar situation can be found in b. 195-196.

According to us, the pedal pressed at the beginning of b. 53 should be held to the end of b. 54; therefore, in the main text we suggest adding a  mark here. The mark was added here already in EE as well as in GE2 (→GE3). A similar situation can be found in b. 197-198.
