b. 40-41

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Slur to b in A (contextual interpretation→GE)

Slur to b1 in A (literal reading) & FE (→EE)

..

Bar 40 is the last one on the page in A, and, in spite of the fact that the slur suggests continuation in the next bar, there is no ending on a new page. In GE1, a slur was initially printed to the end of bar 40 and a new one from the beginning of bar 41 to the end of bar 44. The slurs were then corrected to the version written in A (probably at Chopin's request). FE (→EE) included the corrected version of the beginning of the slur in bar 41, but not of the ending of the slur from bar 40, which could mean that the correction was introduced in the last phase of proofreading of GE1.

b. 41

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

in A (→GE)

No marking in FE (→EE)

The missing  is most probably an oversight of FE (→EE).

R.H. wedges in A

No marks in GE1 (→FEEE)

Dots in both hands in bar 43 in GE2

Wedges in both hands suggested by the editors

..

The missing wedges at the beginning of bars 41 and 43 are certainly a result of inaccuracy (haste) of the engraver of GE1 – both cases are perfectly clear in A (the sign in bar 41 probably originated by the addition of the correct wedge to the nucleus of the slur, which Chopin then started from the semiquaver). In GE2, only the sign in bar 43 was included, interpreting it as a dot. In the main text, we suggest adding signs in the L.H., since a homogeneous articulation of both hands is beyond doubt.

b. 43

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

A (→GE) has a cautionary  before d3. The sign was removed – perhaps by Chopin – in the proofreading of FE (→EE1) and restored in EE2 (→EE3). Cf. similar contexts in bar 39 and 383 as well as 387.
