composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

 in A & GE2

 in GE1

 in FE (→EE)

..

The  indication is written in A at the beginning of the bar. In GE1 it was placed between two chords, as a result of which FE (→EE) ascribed this indication to the 2nd beat of the bar. The authentic notation was restored in GE2.

b. 25-26

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

 in bars 25-26 in A (→GE)

  in FE

 in bar 26 in EE

..

In FE (same as in our transcripts) bar 26 falls on a new line. The division of the  sign was performed in such a way that in both bars a respectively shortened  hairpin was printed (according to the then used earlier convention). EE overlooked the first sign.

Quavers in A (→GE)

Semiquavers in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

One can ponder whether Chopin did not try to change the notation of this ornament from small quavers to semiquavers: in bar 7 already in GE1 and here in FE (→EE). It cannot be excluded, yet taking into account the unobvious difference between two notations, we consider an inaccuracy of the engravers to be a more likely explanation of these changes.

Slurs from 2nd quaver in A, EE & GE2

Slurs from 1st quaver in GE1

Different slurs in FE

..

The slurs in A begin from the 2nd quaver of half-bar figures. The first, discussed separately, could be considered to be unclear, yet other slurs in similar figures do not leave any doubt about Chopin's intention. In spite of this, in GE1 each of the slurs embraces a half of the bar. Shortening the 1st slur in FE is probably only an inaccuracy; however, it could have encouraged the engraver of EE to shorten the 2nd slur too. The slurs compatible with A were introduced also in GE2.

3 slurs in A

FE (→EE)

2 slurs in GE2

..

In the main text we give the slurring of A, since nothing indicates a later Chopin intervention in any of the editions. In GE1 the first two slurs of A were reproduced inaccurately to such an extent that their range was actually changed. This is how, already without ambiguities, they were printed in FE (→EE). The extension of the third slur is most probably a mistake of the engraver of FE (→EE) while the version of GE2, in which the middle slur was overlooked, is certainly arbitrary.
