composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

In A, the repeated octaves in the L.H. in bars 25-26, the group of four f1-b1 fourths in the R.H. in bar 26 and the groups of four identical chords in the L.H. in bars 27-29 are written in an abbreviated manner as quaver tremolos. In GE1 such a notation was preserved only in bars 25 and 29 and in FE only in bar 25. In EE and GE2, same as in the main text, all abbreviations were explained. category imprint: Source & stylistic information issues: EE revisions , GE revisions , Abbreviated notation of A , FE revisions |

b. 31-32
|
composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

The Chopin manner of writing ties as short curved lines placed close to a second note caused an inaccurate and misleading reproduction of the tie of f1 by GE1. In FE (→EE) the curved line was given an unambiguous form of a phrase mark, combining the last quaver in bar 31 (b) with the 1st crotchet in bar 32. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions |

b. 41

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

The natural before the initial third was misplaced in FE: before c1 instead of a. The mistake went to EE1, where the "superfluous" sign was omitted. Chopin added the necessary sign in FED; EE2 (→EE3) also includes the correct text. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Annotations in teaching copies , EE revisions , Errors in FE , Annotations in FED , Errors in EE |
