b. 107

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

The sharp raising to f, overlooked in GC, FE1 (→FE2FE3,EE1), was added in GE, FE4 and EE2. Cf. bar 115.

Slur in GC (→GE) & EE2

No slur in FE (→EE1)

..

Similarly to bar 108, the absence of the L.H. slur in FE (→EE1) could have been an oversight by the engraver of FE (rectified in EE2) or Chopin added this slur in #FC (→GE).

b. 127-132

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

2 new slurs in GC (→GE)

No new slur in FE1 (→FE2)

1 slur in FE3 (→FE4) & EE

1 new slur suggested by the editors

..

In the main text we suggest a slur in which we assemble the most reliable elements of source versions – musically and pianistically natural beginning of the phrase in bar 129 after GC (→GE) and a non-separated slur in bars 130-131 after the Chopinesque proofreading of FE3 (→FE4) and base text to EE.

b. 128

g2-c3 in GC (→GE), FE3 (→FE4), FESch & EE2

g2-e3 in FE1 (→FE2EE1)

..

The version with e3 present in FE1 (→FE2EE1) (in both FE without the necessary  in this situation) is almost certainly erroneous. It is proved by: c3 written in GC (→GE) and the Chopinesque corrections in FESch and FE3 (→FE4). The correct version with c3 is written inaccurately in some of the sources – the necessary  is only in GE and EE2. Further omissions of accidentals – see the adjacent note.
