The cautionary  before a2 present in the sources does not seem to be necessary here. Similarly in the penultimate third in bar 58 and in the eleventh one in bar 59. In the entire progression, all a notes (in different octaves) are provided with sharps, which is really justified only in some of the places.

Lack of the  returning d2 is a typical inaccuracy of Chopin notation. The sign was added only in GE2 (→GE3).

Before the bottom note of the 4th third in FE and EE there is no  raising e1 to e1. It indicates a possible Chopin's mistake in [A] (or an inaccuracy of notation). The sharp written in FC is perhaps an independent, yet undoubtedly correct addition of Fontana. Moreover, in EE there is no  returning e1 in the next third, which can be an editorial revision, as the editor, believing that the previous note is correct, considered this sign to be superfluous.

No g1 in the last chord in FC (→GE) & FE

g1 in EE

The version of EE, with g1 in the last chord and tie sustaining d1, is most probably authentic, perhaps even the latest. It is indicated by lack of corrections in the notation of FC, which means that the same version – without g1 and tie – was in [A]. The version is to be seen in FE, which was most probably based on [A]. Therefore, if it was another copy of [A] that was base text for EE, the version with g1 and tie must have been written in this manuscript in the form of correction from the version of [A] and FC.
On the other hand, lack of a relevant correction, not difficult to perform from the technical point of view, in the proofread by Chopin FE suggests that the composer did not consider the version of EE to be a relevant improvement. The pupils' copies also do not include any changes. Taking into account both the above arguments and the undeniable authenticity of the compatible version of FE and FC, we adopt this version to the main text.
