Dedication: | Mme. la Comtesse d'Agoult |
EE3 returned the overlooked in EE2 dedication, placing it over the score of the 1st page of the Etude in A major, No. 1. Among the changes in the score, it is the additions of accidentals that prevail, both necessary (e.g., naturals lowering a2 to a2 in bars 41-43) and cautionary (e.g., a before the 1st g1 in bar 41 or naturals before c1 and c in bars 61 and 63).
Some of the introduced additions, e.g., in bar 43 and particularly in bar 56 and slurs in bars 66-68, indicate that it was GE1 that was used at the time of performing the revision.
In spite of numerous additions and corrections, certain inaccuracies remained unnoticed, e.g., lack of lowering a3 to a3 in bar 44.
