Dedication: | Mme. la Comtesse d'Agoult |
EE3 returned the overlooked in EE2 dedication, placing it over the score of the 1st page of the Etude in A major, No. 1. Among the changes in the score, it is the additions of accidentals that prevail, both necessary (e.g., naturals lowering a
2 to a2 in bars 41-43) and cautionary (e.g., a
before the 1st g
1 in bar 41 or naturals before c1 and c in bars 61 and 63).
Some of the introduced additions, e.g., in bar 43 and particularly
in bar 56 and slurs in bars 66-68, indicate that it was GE1 that was used at the time of performing the revision.
In spite of numerous additions and corrections, certain inaccuracies remained unnoticed, e.g., lack of lowering a
3 to a3 in bar 44.
