In A one can see traces of changes in the way of combining bars 84-85 – initially bar 84 ended with a quaver and a rest, as in bar 76. Chopin then deleted the quaver flags and rests (in both hands) and extended the slur. The changes were introduced in the proofreading of FE1 – adding f and a and ties sustaining f and d1 to the chord at the beginning of bar 85 – is undoubtedly a continuation of the corrections described in A.
