b. 13

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

No G  in A

G in FE (→GE,EE)

..

The absence of the G note in the last quaver in the L.H. is most probably a mistake of Chopin. FE and the remaining editions include this note, although it is not certain whether this place was corrected (the engraver could have not noticed the note or ignored the absence).

b. 20

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Triads in FE (→GE,EE)

Fourths in A

..

In the proofreading of FE1, Chopin added b1 and a1 respectively to the last two quavers. With the sustention of d2 it constitutes an undobted improvement of this end of phrase.

b. 26

..

We add a cautionary  next to b1. The sign is present only in EE.

b. 27

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Quaver b in the sources

Crotchet suggested by the editors

..

We add a crotchet stem for b1. The absence of correction in FE can be considered to be Chopin's oversight or the engraver's inaccuracy in the interpretation of correction.

b. 29

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Minim & crotchet in FE (→GE,EE)

Dotted minim in A

..

The g1 dotted minim present in A in the top voice of the L.H. is the original version – Chopin changed it in the proofreading of FE1 to an a1 minim and a g1 crotchet.
