b. 11

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

In this bar and the two analogous ones (51 and 59) Chopin inserted a cautionary   before ain A (→GEFEEE). We omit that unnecessary sign.

b. 11

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

No slur in A (→GE1FEEE)

A curved line added in GE2 (→GE3)

The editors' suggestion

..

The lack of a slur in authentic sources may, in our opinion, be considered an inaccuracy of notation of this Mazurka – hence our proposition to supplement it. The reviewers GE2 (→GE3) apparently had the same motivation, but instead of repeating Chopin's slur as in  A (e.g. in bar  3), they gave its distorted version from GE1.

Without d1 in A (→GE)

When correcting FE (→EE), Chopin made the accompaniment in this bar fully resemble that in all the analogous bars.
