Visible in A is the erased original version of the accompaniment, in which both bars had G crotchet with a staccato dot falling on the 1st beat. Both bars also had pedalling analogous to the pedalling preserved in adjoining bars. The notation before the change was as follows:

Without d1 in A (→GE)

d1 added in FE (→EE)

When correcting FE (→EE), Chopin made the accompaniment in this bar fully resemble that in all the analogous bars.

b. 33

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

B flat in A (→GE)

B flat1 in FE (→EE)

..

The change of the 1st crotchet from B flat to B flat1 in the proofing of FE (→EE) definitely comes from Chopin.

A slur and a dot in A

A dot in GE (→FEEE)

..

We give the markings of A. In GE (→FEEE) only the dot was left, which is probably the result of inaccurate reading of the manuscript. The slur was probably added in A after the deletion of the sixth on the 3rd beat of the left hand, so there is no reason to omit it.
