Fingering in A

FE (→GE,EE)

The fingering of the basic figure in the L.H. and of a few atypical combinations – the 1st finger on e1 in bars 1, 5 and analog., alternative use of fingers of both hands in bar 7 and analog. and change of fingers in bar 26 – was already marked in A. Chopin then completed these indications in a proofreading of FE (→GE), adding digits in bars 1, 2, 3-4, 7-8, 15-16. At the same time, some of the indications of A were omitted in FE (→GE), which is probably a result of an inaccurate reading of A, yet in the case of bars 1 and 9 it could have been accepted by Chopin.

In EE Fontana added the fingering in bars 1, 2, 4, 7-10, 17, 19-20, 22-31, 38-40 and 47-52.
