In A these bars are not written out, only marked as a repetition of bars 3-4. However, unlike in A, in FE (→GE,EE) the  mark in bar 11 was not omitted and moreover a  mark at the end of bar 12 was added. The completion of the notation could have been a result of Chopin's correction, yet it is not certain (one could imagine the engraver's error who first engraved the  marks and then added  to them, already without consulting the base text). As we cannot be dealing with the performance of both bars with one pedal here, in the main text we repeat the notation of bars 3-4

In A the bars are not written out, so we repeat here our interpretation of slurs in bars 6-7. The continuous slur in FE (→GE,EE) was probably included by Chopin while proofreading FE (cf. the second paragraph of the remark concerning bars 6-7).

In A there is no  lowering to g on the 5th quaver in the bar. The accidental was added in FE (→GE,EE).

At the beginning of bars 17, 19, 23 and 25 A includes  indications, while in bar 21 – . In the editions all  marks were omitted and instead of  there is . Due to the fact that all other dynamic indications in these bars were more or less accurately reproduced, it seems highly unlikely that the changes had not been accepted and partially introduced by Chopin. Therefore, in the main text we leave the version of FE (→GE,EE) without any additions. The version of A may be considered as an alternative one.
In bar 21 the erasure visible in A allows to conclude that originally Chopin most probably wrote there .

It is hard to determine what prompted Chopin (?) to enharmonically change the correct orthography of A to a simplified notation of FE (→GE,EE). In the main text we give the notation of A.
