A corrected impression of GE1, in which some errors were removed, and some more or less justified revisions were made. In this Etude no changes were introduced to the music (they can be found e.g., in Etude in E no. 3 or in C
no. 4).
In GE1a the erroneous initial of Liszt's name (J) was corrected in the dedication. There are copies with minimal changes on the cover.
The editors of mUltimate Chopin are not aware of any different impressions of the first German edition of the second book of Etudes.
