In FE (→EE) the upper voice minims at the beginning of bars 6 and 8 are furnished with dots extending their rhythmic values. This contradicts the notation of A (→GE). The slur in those bars is evident in A (→GE1) and provokes no stylistic doubts. The change made in GE2 (→GE3) by analogy with bars 5-6 and 9-10, where the notation of A is not that clear, misses - in our opinion - Chopin's intention.
