There are two deleted bars between bars 19 and 20 in A (see the note above). The slur a1-b1 leads from bar 19 to the deleted version of bar 20, yet it has no ending in the undeleted version. This was why it was omitted in GE (→FE→EE). Still, the notation of A, although inaccurate, does not indicate the wish to eliminate the slur. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |

A has got two more bars written in between bar 19 and bar 20. Those two additional bars, later deleted, contained modified versions of bars 20 and 5. They formed the 1st volta for the ending of the initially planned repeat of the section beginning in bar 6. category imprint: Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Corrections in A , Differences in form |

In GE2 (→GE3), an accent was added on the 3rd beat of the bar. That adjustment was based on the authentic sign in the analogous bar 52. In our opinion, that detail does not need to be made uniform. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions |

Lack of pedalling in A (→GE1→FE→EE) may be the result of Chopin's scattered attention connected with correcting the form of the Mazurka (deletion of the repetition of bars 5-20). Therefore we suggest supplementing the markings in line with analogous bar 52. A similar adjustment was made in GE2 (→GE3). category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |
