Chopin emphasized the accompaniment nature of the R.H. part in A by writing it out in small notes. However, the difference in note size went unnoticed in GE (→FE→EE), which may have later prompted Chopin to draw engravers' attention to that kind of detail by means of a special note in the autograph (cf. Etude in A flat major Op. 25 no. 1 and Prelude in F sharp minor Op. 28 no. 8). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE |

b. 72-73
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major
..
In GE1 (→FE→EE), the slur in bar 72 reaches up to a flat1 on the 3rd beat of the bar, which is not in line with A. The inaccuracy was corrected in GE2 (→GE3), and another slur was added connecting a flat1 to the minim in bar 73, probably by analogy to the authentic slurring in bars 76-77. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

b. 86-87
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major
..
The beginning of poco ritenuto in A falls more or less above the 3rd crotchet of bar 86. In GE (→FE→EE) that indication was placed earlier, at the beginning of the bar, which certainly does not agree with Chopin's intention. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE |

b. 90
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major
..
An evident wedge in A was reproduced in GE (→FE) as a dot (in GE, wedges were not used even once throughout the Mazurkas Op. 24). In EE, the sign was omitted. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , Errors in EE , Wedges |

b. 92-94
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major

In bars 92 and 94, despite the unambiguous notation of A, in GE (→FE→EE) the slur end was placed earlier, above the 2nd quaver of the bar. Cf. the note to bar 6. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE |
