composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major

In the sources, the slur in bars 38 and 42 ends above the 2nd quaver of the bar. This is most probably the result of the inaccurate notation of A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccurate slurs in A |

In GE (→FE→EE), the slur ends above the 2nd quaver b1, clearly against the notation of A. This is one of the instances of inaccurate reproduction of A in GE1. Cf. the note to bar 6. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , Inaccuracies in FE , EE inaccuracies |

In GE2 (→GE3), the slur end was moved to the 2nd quaver d2, probably after comparison had been made with the notation of GE1 in the majority of analogous bars. Cf. the note to bar 6. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE |

In A (→GE) the note g is not sustained, and neither is it in five analogous places (bars 15-16, 19-20, 51-52, 99-100 and 103-104). The tie appearing in FE (→EE) may result from Chopin's correction. However, the fact that no similar ties can be found in any of the remaining analogous places makes us also consider other possible explanations. In our opinion, the engraver's error is a probable option. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Authentic corrections of FE |

Visible over the R.H., part in A is a deletion that shortens the slur started in the previous bar. A similar correction can be found in bar 16. category imprint: Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Corrections in A |
