Slurs from 2nd quaver in A

Slurs from 1st quaver in GE (→FE,EE,IE)

..

In bar 376 and 378 in the main text we keep the notation of the A slurs, as the comparison with analogous bar 10, 12 and 193 shows that Chopin – although he did not mark it here – most probably envisioned the initial octave to be performed staccato. However, one can understand the engraver of GE, who considered the A notation to be another case of inaccurate slurs (particularly the slur in bar 378, the ending of which is certainly inaccurate).

As in bars 194-195, GE (→FE,EE,IE) convey a simplified and inaccurate picture of the A dynamic markings.
