Title: | Souvenir de la Pologne. Quatre Mazurkas |
Dedication: | Madame la Princesse de Wurtemberg née Princesse Czartoryska |
EE1 reproduced the text of FE with minimal changes. Chopin did not participate in its preparation. The introduced changes include:
- the common accents in bars 4 and 8 having been replaced with vertical ones,
- addition of a cautionary
to g1 in bar 5,
- addition of omitted sharps – to e
1 in bar 31 and 63 and to g
2 in bar 39, 45 and 47,
- addition of a
mark in bar 20.
A mistake was committed in bar 10 – the semiquaver beam for the g1-g2 octave was overlooked.
Moreover, as was the case with other opuses of Mazurkas, the authentic title was preceded by the phrase Souvenir de la Pologne.
