A (→GE) and FE have the indication sotto voce. In A one can see that Chopin corrected the original indication – . Taking this into consideration, different indications in EE –  legatissimo – are almost certainly authentic and come from the lost manuscript base text (it also applies to the remaining indications in bars 117, 119, 122). In A we also have a few other deleted and corrected performance indications. Cf. also the beginning of the Mazurka Op. 24, No. 2.
