Issues : Omission of current key accidentals

b. 385

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

f2 in FE (→EE1)

f2 in GE, EE2 (→EE3) & FEH

..

A missing mark before the last semiquaver is most probably Chopin's oversight. The fact that the soloist recalls one of the main themes of this movement in a new, yet well-prepared C major key brings peace after the turbulent orchestral fragment. In this context, a deviation from the original, diatonic course of the phrase does not seem to be justified and sounds strange. The natural added in GE is almost certainly inauthentic, the mark added in EE2 (→EE3) even more so, but the mark added in FEH (probably by the pupil's hand) may be coming from Chopin.

b. 390-391

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

FE is missing the sharps raising e3 to e3. The accidentals were added in the remaining editions.

b. 404

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

d2 in chord in A & GE2

No d2 in chord in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The version of GE1 (→FEEE) is almost certainly erroneous – breaking the octave line of the topmost voice is totally unjustified in this case. Therefore, in the main text we preserve the version of A. This evaluation remains unchanged in the face of the addition of a , overlooked by Chopin, raising d3 to din GE1, since it was most probably performed by the reviser (in A Chopin also overlooked the  raising d2 to d2).

b. 413

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

d3 w FE (→GE,EE)

d3 suggested by the editors

..

The missing accidental before the 2nd semiquaver is probably an oversight (of the engraver or of Chopin himself). It is indicated by the situation in bar 414 in which the necessary  before d3 – unquestionable in that case – is also missing.

b. 414

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

..

In FE (→EE1), there is no accidental before the 4th semiquaver, which results in d3 both on the 4th and the 6th semiquavers. Due to the C major key (A minor) valid from the middle of bar 412, it must be considered a mistake, probably repeated after [A]. The necessary  lowering d3 to d3 was added in GE and EE2 (→EE3).
