In A (→GE→FE) the slur embraces only bar 27. As Chopin corrected phrasing in similar contexts in bars 18-19 and 30-31, we change the text here accordingly.  EE also has the version with the slur from g2 in bar 26.

The empty octave on the last L.H. quaver in GE is probably a mistake of the engraver (cf. analog. b. 54 and 287). It could also be the initial version, analogous to b. 32, 58, 104, 108 and 291, and perhaps overlooked in [A] at the time of entering corrections into b. 54 and 287 and supplemented in the basis for FE.

In A (→FE→EEW1) there are no naturals raising d3(2) to d3(2). In the remaining sources the mistake was corrected. Cf. bars 13-14.

The simplified notation of A, in which the dyads of the orchestral accompaniment of the solo part are separated only by a smaller font, confused the engraver of GE1 (→FE→EE), who, not having noticed the difference in the size of the notes, engraved entire chords in a normal font. In FE in bars 374-376, not only did Chopin correct this mistake, but he also differentiate between the solo part and the accompaniment in a clearer manner. We employ the latter, being the latest and constituting a significant improvement, also here. A text of the solo part compliant with Chopin's intention appeared in print for the first time in the National Edition.

The b1-c2 slur probably originates from a later completion of the manuscripts' notation, which is indicated by a comparison with analogous b. 122-123. Chopin most likely added a slur here only in [AG] (→GE) and the second time – only in AF (→FE→EE). Such complementary corrections suggest that there was a stage – probably short – in which both autographs were being retouched in parallel.
