The slur in A (→GEFE)

A longer slur in EE

In A (→GE), three out of four analogous phrases – bars 18-19, 26-27 and 30-31 – have slurs beginning on a new bar, only in bars 22-23 Chopin originally notated the earlier beginning of the phrase. Chopin's corrections of FE (in bars 18-19 and 30-31) reversed the proportions: in three out of the four fragments mentioned the slurs begin on the accented crotchet on the 3rd beat of the previous bar. In such a situation we consider leaving bars 26-27 in an unchanged form to be an omission in proofing. Such omissions (leaving out one of several analogous fragments) often happened to Chopin, e.g. in the Prelude in F sharp minor Op. 28 no. 8, bar 17 or in the Polonaise in F sharp minor Op. 44, bar 70.

The earlier beginning of the slur was marked (although somewhat inaccurately) in EE.
