b. 660

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Fingering written into FED

Fingering written into FEH

No fingering in FE (→GE)

Fontana's fingering in EE

..

In the main text, we give a fingering that was probably written by Chopin in FEH, essentially compliant with the Chopinesque entry in FED. In this situation, the authenticity of a different fingering, given by Fontana in EE, seems to be out of the question.

c2 tied in FE (→EE) & GE2 (→GE3)

The tie of c2, probably overlooked in A (→FCGE1) in b. 211-212 (the discussed bars are a repetition thereof), was added by Chopin in the proofreading of FE (→EE) as well as – probably by analogy with b. 79-80 – in GE2 (→GE3).
