b. 333

composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor

e2 in A (→FCGE, →FEEE1EE2)

e2 in EE3

..

The version of EE3 is an arbitrary revision aiming at adapting this bar to b. 435, changed (also arbitrarily) already in EE2.

b. 334

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Rhythm in EE

Rhythm in GC (→GE1)

Rhythm in FE & GE2

..

Out of the three rhythmic variants in the RH part in this bar only two are definitely authentic :  in GC (>GE1) and   in FE. The rhythm in GC comes as the earlier version and while correcting FE Chopin replaced it with the rhythm consistent with bars 322, 326 and also 342. The EE variant may well be the earliest one of the bar, however we cannot rule out an error here. The editor of GE2 when introducing the FE version most probably unconsciously repeated Chopin's correction made earlier to FE.

b. 334

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Long accent in A

Short accent in GE (→FEEE)

..

The accent in A is clearly longer than the signs in, e.g. the previous two bars, yet in the editions it was reproduced as a short accent.

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Dot in A & GE2

No mark in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The absence of the staccato dot in GE1 (→FEEE) must be an oversight, corrected in GE2 on the basis of A.

b. 334

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In A one can see a correction of the bottom note of the last crotchet in the L.H. Chopin initially wrote a b which he then reworked into a cand added names of both notes for the sake of clarity – c-g. According to us, it is probably a correction of an erroneously written version of the accompaniment (cf. bar 326) and not a change implying an improvement.
