b. 210

composition: Op. 42, Waltz in A♭ major

..

In FE0 (→FE) there is no slur in the L.H. in bar 210. In the next bar, beginning in this source from the new line, the slur is continued, which, apart from purely musical arguments, additionally confirms the engraver's oversight. Chopin did not correct the mistake in FEG, yet in spite of this fact, the reviser of GE added the slur. EE also has the correct version.

Staccato & accents suggested by the editors

..

In the main text we suggest adding the staccato signs and accents on the basis of respective bars of the initial section of Scherzo (bars 22-25). The abbreviated notation of the recapitulation in [A] (→GC) proves that Chopin wanted that the notation of both extreme sections was identical.

b. 210

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Shorter slur in GC

Longer slur in FE (→EE) & GE2

No slur in GE1

..

The second R.H. slur in GC encompasses only two crotchets, which certainly exemplifies numerous inaccuracies committed by the copyist in notating slurs. The slur was omitted in GE1 (cf. bars 212-214), and reinstated in GE2 as a three-note-long one, analogous to the neighbouring slurs.

b. 210-211

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

Slur to bar 211 in A & GE2

Slur to end of bar 210 in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The shortened slur in the majority of the editions is a result of inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1.

b. 210

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

e in A (→GE)

g in FE (→EE)

..

The version of FE (→EE) could be considered a result of Chopin's proofreading. However, it can be a quite frequent so-called Terzverschreibung error, i.e. erroneously printing a note a third away from the correct one. In the main text we give the probably authentic, later version of FE. According to us, the earlier, yet undoubtedly authentic, version of A can be considered to be equal.
