b. 113

composition: Op. 23, Ballade in G minor

..

In A, Chopin overlooked two necessary accidentals – a  to f and a  to b. Both inaccuracies were removed in FE (→GE,EE). By contrast, in the R.H. part, the  to b1 in the middle of the bar was unnecessarily repeated; it was included in all editions. We omit this accidental in the main text.

b. 113-115

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

..

In FE (→EE) there are no arpeggios, which is a patent mistake, as is the absence of one of them in FC (at the beginning of bar 114). The defect of the copy was corrected in GE.

b. 113

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

..

The cautionary  to a2 visible in FC was added by the reviser of GE. The accidental does not seem necessary here, and the other editions did not add it.
