b. 77

composition: Op. 2, Variations, complete

Crotchet & quaver g2 in AsI

Extended crotchet & semiquaver in remaining sources

..

As was the case with b. 69, in the majority of the sources (except FESB) the syncopated g2 crotchet is prolonged with two dots, which leads to an excess of rhythmic values – 5 quavers in the bar. The mistake was noticed and corrected (awkwardly in terms of graphics) only in FESB.

b. 79

composition: Op. 28 No. 15, Prelude in D♭ major

..

A (→FCGE1) gives 9 as the number of notes in the irregular semiquaver group (instead of 10). The mistake was corrected in FE (→EE) and GE2.

b. 80

composition: Op. 10 No 12, Etude in C minor

Plain minim in A (→FEGE1,EE#)

Dotted minim in GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

The missing dot extending the c2 minim is, according to us, the composer's error. Chopin would often extend or separate some of the notes with additional stems or ties without taking care of the rhythmic values of these "voices" to fill the entire bar. However, in this case the rhythmic gap concerns the main melodic line, which was rather not intended, as Chopin embraced it with a slur. The mistake was corrected in GE2 (→GE3GE4) and EE4.

b. 80

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

Semibreve in GC (→GE1)

Minim in FE, EE & GE2 (→GE3)

..

In GC (→GE1at the beginning of the bar is – most probably erroneously – a semibreve.

b. 80

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

..

The eight-note figure filling the 3rd quaver of the bar was written in A by Chopin as a demisemiquaver septuplet. The patent mistake was partially corrected in GE2, by writing it as an octuplet of demisemiquavers. According to us, there are no reasons for such an atypical notation, hence we replace the septuplet with a regular group of hemidemisemiquavers. In FE (→EE) the second note was overlooked, which removed the incompatibility of the notation with the actual state.
