The version of the majority of the editions must be a consequence of a mistake by the engraver of GE1, who omitted here staccato marks as well. The missing semiquaver beams were added in GE3. A similar situation is to be found in bar 329. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , GE revisions |

In GE (→FE,EE) the e1 crotchet is provided with two augmentation dots, which could have been caused by the spot in A, resembling a second dot. It must be a mistake, since this e1 note is continued by the d1 quaver, falling on the 4th quaver in the bar. In FESB this note was placed on one stem with the g1 quaver, which changed its value to a double dotted quaver. It was probably an attempt at correcting the excessive rhythmic value of this note. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Different values of chord components , Errors in GE , Errors repeated in GE , Errors repeated in FE , Errors repeated in EE |

We give the L.H. 2nd and 3rd beats in the version of FE, which can be considered an enhanced version of A (in A there is no augmentation dot to the f1 crotchet). In GE (→EE,FESB) all bottom voice quavers are written in the form of three-note chords, since their stems reach f1, which does not correspond to the notation of A and is probably an oversight by the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , Authentic corrections of FE , FE revisions |

The curved line written in A between the voices is at the pitch of b1 and almost certainly indicates that the dotted crotchet at this pitch should be sustained, as clearly marked by Chopin in AsI (both in the piano part and in the clarinet II part). In GE1 (→GE2) the endings of the tie are placed lower and not horizontally, which makes the tie seem to concern 4 quavers in the bottom voice. This is how it was reproduced in FE and FESB (as a slur), whereas in EE and GE3 it is undoubtedly a tie to b1. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Inaccurate slurs in A |
