Issues : Errors of FC
b. 1

composition: Op. 28 No. 22, Prelude in G minor
..
The missing ties of the a-c1 third must be Fontana's mistake in FC (→GE1). GE2 (→GE3) added only the tie of c1; perhaps it is a result of an incompletely implemented revision – in analogous b. 35 both ties were added. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Errors of FC |

The omitted staccato dots over the 1st octave in b. 17 and 19 (as well as 25 and 27) are mistakes of Fontana and the engraver of FE. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors of FC |

These bars are a repetition of b. 17-19; likewise, the staccato dots written in A were not reproduced in any of the remaining sources. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors of FC |

composition: Op. 28 No. 22, Prelude in G minor

It is unclear what made Fontana start writing più animato as early as in b. 28, hence 2 bars earlier than in A, or why the indication was not included in GE. Moreover, Fontana overlooked the dashes marking the range of the indication. In FE1 the dashes were led only to the end of b. 33, the last in the line, which was corrected in FE2 (→EE). Chopin precisely determined that the more animated fragment should end in b. 38 – in A the dash written in b. 39 was crossed out. Chopin also crossed out sempre before più animato. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Inaccuracies in FE , Corrections in A , Errors in GE , Deletions in A , FE revisions , Errors of FC |

The missing slur resulted from the oversights of Fontana and of the engraver of EE1. The slur was added in EE2; most probably after FE. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in EE , Errors of FC |
