The quavers in AI are marked with portato dots (under a slur). Lack of dots in A (→GE→FE→EE) means probably a change to the articulation of the bar, possibly in conjunction with the vivid separation of the closing motif in bar 12. However, it cannot be ruled out that Chopin used a slur to just single out a melodic unity and left articulation nuances at the discretion of the performer.
