Here and in analogous bars 9-10 our main text repeats the slurring of A (→GE→FE→EE). However, in the editors' opinion it is possible that a longer slur in AI better reflects Chopin's idea of articulation and phrasing in these places. This is supported by the comparison with analogous bars 29-30 & 33-34, where A has slurs corresponding just to the notation of AI.
