The stem prolonging the g quaver was overlooked both in FE (→EE1) and GE). Chopin added it in FED and FES; moreover, in both copies he also prolonged the last a quaver. We consider that addition, most probably introduced independently in each of the copies, a development of the original idea and adopt it to the main text.
It remains a mystery how the reviser of EE2 found out about those prolonged notes.

EE1 has wrong key signatures in bars 28-49 – 6 sharps on the upper staff in bars 28-49 (4 lines of text), and 5 sharps on the lower staff in bars 28-43 (3 lines). This astonishing mistake was corrected in EE2. Interestingly, the additional sharps change the pitch of only three notes in this entire fragment – e1 to e1 in the middle of bar 38, and at the beginning of bars 40 and 41.

As in many other places, Fontana replaced the Chopinesque grace note with a common short grace note (the change also got to EE2, probably via GE1). In the main text we keep the notation of A (→FEEE1), although it most probably carries the same meaning as a
