Given g in the previous and next bars, we may assume that also the middle note of the chord in the second half of b. 25 was intended by Chopin to be g and he must have overlooked . However, the version is no less musically satisfactory, and so, assuming Chopin did not make a mistake, we provide this version for the main text.

In GE3 (>GE4esis tied over to the next bar. In A and FC3 there is a tiny tie on the chord in the second half of b. 223 that must have been left by Chopin by mistake as continuation from previous markings. It does not resemble any of the ties Chopin used. The slur in GE3 (>GE4) is either an arbitrary revision of this editon or - if it was also present in [FC1] - a mistakenly interpreted tie, as described above.
