We present the Es1-Es octave at the beginning of b.164 in LH based on A, FC3 (→FE→IE) and EE. In GE the octave is replaced by a subsequently repeated chord. The authenticity of this version seems questionable, as Chopin's correction [KF1] is little probable and GE version must be ruled out. It may have been the copyist or engraver who erroneously replaced this bar with one of the two subsequent bars. The A notation, where this bar, marking a new part, is notated at the end of the line may well result in such errors.
