In the main text we give the pedalling entered by Chopin into FC (→GE). It is only b. 225-226 that we discuss separately, in which the composer probably wrote a superfluous pedal change.

A is missing the  raising g2 to g2. The patent inaccuracy was corrected both in FC (→GE) and FE (→EE). It is difficult to say conclusively who entered the  into FC, Chopin or Fontana. In turn, a diagonal cross, in pencil, visible in this place in A means that the missing mark was already noticed by the engraver of FE, as long as the mark comes from the time the Scherzo was published.

The missing tie of c2 is probably an oversight of Chopin in A (→FC→GE1) – those are the last bars on the page, which favours distraction. The tie was added by Chopin in the proofreading of FE (→EE) as well as in GE2 (→GE3), probably on the basis of analogy with b. 79-80.
There is a similar situation in b. 662-663.
