Issues : Authentic corrections of FE
b. 432
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III
..
In bar 432, on a new line of text, there is no ending of the slur started in the previous bar in FE. In GE and EE, the slur was prolonged accordingly. In FE, one can see that the discussed place initially contained a shorter slur, from the 2nd semiquaver to g1. Therefore, the target slur, compliant with the slur in the R.H., was probably meant to replace the markings that FE feature in bars 423-424. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources; Source & stylistic information issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE , Uncertain slur continuation |

b. 469
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III
..
In FE (→GE1→GE2), the second note in the L.H. is a crotchet, as a result of which the bar contains 5 quavers. The mistake, resulting from an inaccurate proofreading (the note was being changed from b to f1, so the engraver might have erroneously printed here the next bar), was corrected in EE and GE3. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Errors resulting from corrections , Rhythmic errors , Authentic corrections of FE , Errors repeated in GE |

b. 474-475

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

The traces of proofreading of the slurs in the L.H., visible in FE, allow for deciphering the original slurs, divided with a bar line. There is a similar situation in bars 476-477. category imprint: Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Authentic corrections of FE |

As in bar 483, FE contains two cautionary accidentals in this bar – a before f2 (the 3rd semiquaver) and a before a on the 4th quaver – added most probably in the last phase of proofreading, since they are absent in GE. GE, in turn, added sharps before g2 and g. The latter was added also in EE, yet the on the 4th quaver was overlooked. In the main text, we include all the aforementioned accidentals. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , GE revisions , Cautionary accidentals , Authentic corrections of FE |
