b. 450-451

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

No L.H. accents in FE (→GE,EE)

Accents suggested by the editors

..

The accents over the R.H. could have been written in  under the notes – cf. the placement of the markings of  in analogous bars 206-207. However, even if this was not the case, the emphasis on the bass's progression and the symmetry of gestures of both hands require the even quavers being accentuated also in the L.H.

b. 456-457

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

No marks in FE (→EE,GE1GE2)

Accents in GE3

Same accents suggested by the editors

..

In the main text, we suggest adding accents, since they appear in all the remaining three phrases in similar bars.

b. 458

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

No mark in FE (→EE,GE1GE2)

Accent in GE3

Same accent as our alternative suggestion

..

Contrary to the previous two bars, the missing mark cannot be considered a patent oversight. In spite of a similar figure in the L.H. part, the bar performs a different function within the four-bar section (bars 456-459) than the remaining three – while the previous two bars are independent units with a clear climax in the middle of the bar, the third one is a part of a two-bar structure and it prepares its climax falling at the beginning of the fourth one. In turn, the accent in the fourth bar emphasises a new note, signalling the change of harmony and transition into the next phrase. Therefore, in the main text we leave the version without accent; we suggest adding it only in an alternative version. The accent was added also in GE3

b. 458-459

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Dot in FE (→GE,EE)

2 wedges suggested by the editors

..

In the main text, we suggest a wedge over both quavers in these bars, in accordance with the markings present in the majority of similar places.

b. 462

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Accent in FE (→GE,EE)

No mark suggested by the editors

..

We omit the accent in the main text, which could have been placed here by mistake – in analogous bars 458, 466 and 470, the respective crotchet is not accented.
