The meaning of the accent of FE (→EE) placed under a2, at the pitch of b1, is unclear. When interpreted literally, it is a short accent on a2, which we give in the main text. However, it is possible that we are dealing with an inaccurately reproduced long accent under b1 (cf. the notation of some of the accents in the Concerto in F Minor, Op. 21, the 1st mov., bars 4-5 or in the Etude in A Minor, Op. 10 No. 2, bars 45-46). The latter is supported by an analogy with the previous bar.
