The missing slur in the first half of the bar is probably an oversight, either of the engraver of FE or Chopin, cf. analogous bar 295. However, the slur added in EE is almost certainly arbitrary, whereas the one in GE3 – modelled after the most probably inaccurate slur in the aforementioned bar 295. In the main text, we suggest adding a slur in the entire first half of the bar, just like in bar 295.
The second slur in the discussed bar, written too early, is an inaccuracy of GE

The missing dashes marking the range of cresc. are most probably an oversight of the engraver of GE.

b. 390-391

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In GE1 (→GE2), bar 390 is the last one in the line of text, which probably caused an inaccuracy in the notation of the slur running from f3 – its ending was overlooked in bar 391. It is also possible that the missing ending of the slur is a side effect of the revision of the pitch of the 1st quaver in bar 391. In GE3, the slur was completely omitted.

The moment of division of the slur in the L.H. in this bar raises doubts both due to the differences between particular editions and the differences between analogous bars, to an even greater extent. The version of GE, with one slur, which is not confirmed by any of the three analogous places (bars 413-414, 436-437 and 437-438), must be a mistake. According to us, the version of FE (→EE) is probably also inaccurate, since in bars 413-414 and 437-438, the further slur begins clearly earlier, i.e. from the penultimate semiquaver, whereas the coinciding slurs in bars 436-437 may be interpreted twofold.

The missing first slur in FE (→GE1GE2) must be an oversight, corrected in EE. The inaccurate slur of GE1 (→GE2) was replaced in GE3 with arbitrary indications, i.e. staccato dots and a slur, adopted in this edition in all similar places.
