Covering only two thirds with the slur, as visible in A, might reflect the manner of performing that motif as foreseen by Chopin. However, it does not seem very likely when we take into account other elements of the notation: the accent above f2-a flat2 and a short rhythmic value of the last third e flat 2-g flat2.Therefore we tend to consider the slur in A to be inaccurate, just like the two preceding ones in that bar
