b. 228-229

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

New slur from bar 229 in A

Continuous slur in GE

New slur from bar 232 in FE (→EE)

..

According to us, a new slur starts in bar 229 in A, although the previous one ends very close to its beginning. However, the combined slurs in GE (→FEEE) are not a result of an inaccurate interpretation of A, but of proofreading, probably a Chopin one. Nevertheless, the visible traces of corrections suggest that the composer corrected other, erroneous slurs, and not the version of A. Due to this reason, in the main text we give a musically unquestionable division of the slur written in A.
The division of the slur between bars 231 and 232, as it is in FE (→EE), is certainly an inaccuracy, related to the transition into a new line.

legatiss. in A

No indication in GE (→FEEE)

..

Omission of legatiss. over the top voice in the R.H. is most probably a mistake of the engraver of GE1. It can be puzzling that the indication was not added in GE2 – perhaps it was regarded as contrary to leggieriss. below.

b. 230-234

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

In the main text we add cautionary flats before b3 and a3 in bars 230 and 234.

b. 231

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In A there are no flats lowering g1 to g1 and g2 to g2. This patent inaccuracy was partially corrected already in GE1 (→FE), by adding the first of the overlooked flats. The correct text is in EE and GE2.
