The added a
2 note may be a result of an overzealous interpretation of A by the engraver of GE (→FE→EE) – in the manuscript there are clearly only four notes, corresponding to the parts of flutes and clarinets of Morch, which was indicated in A with the help of relevant tags. Due to this reason, in the main text we preserve the notation of A. The version with a2, although its authenticity is uncertain, may be considered an acceptable variant, since Chopin did not change it both in the proofreading of editions and in pupil's copies.
