b. 111

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

 in A (literal reading→GE1)

 in A (contextual interpretation) & EE2 (→EE3)

No markings in FE (→EE1)

One  in GE2

..

When interpreted literally, both  are written in A in a way it was performed in GE1. However, according to us, the second sign concerns the quaver motif in the L.H. and this is the interpretation we give in the main text. It is difficult to state why FE (→EE1) did not print any of those signs; it was probably due to distraction. In GE2 the second sign was considered superfluous and it was removed. In this context, one has to acknowledge the intuition of the reviser of EE2 (→EE3) who found the correct solution only on the basis of GE1, hence not having seen A.

b. 113

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In A before the bottom note of the octave in the L.H. at the beginning of the bar is missing, as well as before the 3rd semiquaver in the R.H. in the 2nd half of the bar (d1). In turn, Chopin repeated a  before B, the 2nd semiquaver in the L.H. In GE1 (→FE) only the missing  before the octave was added, while in EE and GE2 – both necessary naturals. Moreover, EE3 added a cautionary  before in the L.H. in the 3rd group of semiquavers; the sign was also added in FED. In the main text we add two necessary naturals and we remove the superfluous sign before the 2nd semiquaver in the L.H.

b. 114

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In A (→GE) a  is missing before the 8th semiquaver in the L.H. (d1). In turn, Chopin repeated a  before bin the L.H. at the end of the bar. FE removed the second sign, yet did not add the first one. EE includes the fully correct notation.

b. 115

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

GE2 and EE3 added a cautionary  before the first bin the R.H. In the main text we add cautionary flats before d2 and d1 and b.

b. 117-118

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

None of the sources returned bin bar 117 and bin bar 118, which is a patent oversight. In turn, EE added cautionary flats before the next semiquaver in both bars, b2 and brespectively. We include the second of the signs in the main text.
