The omission of the sign in GE1 (→FE→EE) is certainly an oversight. The sign was added in GE2 after A. Chopin did not mark the moment of pedal release, considering it to be obvious or he simply forgot it. In the main text we suggest adding a in the spirit of the Chopin harmonic pedalling.
