The version of GE1 (→FE→EE) may be a result of Chopin's proofreading, although the lack of any traces of performing changes in this place in GE1 suggests that it could be a mistake of the engraver. Doubled E on the 4th crotchet seems to be superfluous – e is present in the cello part, whereas introducing octaves only from the 1st chord in bar 281 subtly underlines the entrance of an enhanced repetition of the first phrase of the theme. In the corresponding bar in the exposition (bar 132), e is not present in the solo part in any of the sources. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Authentic corrections of GE |

In the main text we give the slurs of A (and GE2), certainly the only authentic ones – cf. the corresponding place in the exposition, with identical slurs in all sources. The slurs of GE1 are inaccurate here, whereas in FE (→EE) the first of them was omitted on top of that. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

Similarly as in analogous bars 133-134, Chopin used here a misleading rhythmic notation, in which the d2 minim in bar 281 and the g1 minim in bar 282 are placed over the 2nd quaver in the bar or even after it. In this case, however, bar 282 was written in accordance with the contemporary rules already in GE1 (→FE→EE, →GE2), whereas in bar 281 the misleading notation is only in FE, in which the ambiguous notation of GE1 was erroneously interpreted. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions |

In FE the accent over the d2 minim was overlooked. The accent was added in EE – in the form of a vertical sign – probably on the basis of comparison with analogous bar 133. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE |
